I was disappointed when I first saw this because it was so thin and appeared to be just another piece of kitchen "junk". Was I ever wrong! I think the thinness of the mold is a plus for helping unmold your salads/desserts-it just requires a minute of sitting in warm water and you get intact food with a beautiful design when you turn it over. I am very, very pleased with how attractive the presentation of the food is.
